In December, 2016, The Integrated Renewable Energy Systems Network (IRESN) and Communities Advancing Distributed Energy Resources (CADER) announced a partnership to continue CADER’s trailblazing work to promote accelerated deployment of “distributed” energy resources in California by merging IRESN’s staff capacity, organizational name, public profile and on-going outreach with CADER’s governance structure and 501.c.3 non-profit status. Since its initiation under California Energy Commission sponsorship in 1999, CADER convened distributed energy resource stakeholders and experts on a regular basis until its final conference in 2010, technical contributions to which are listed below.
